Shinkansen Underground Mall ESCA

ESCA ESCAThere are several interconnecting underground malls below Nagoya Station, creating something of a maze, but ESCA is conveniently located right outside the Shinkansen ticket gates. Coming off the JR Nagoya Station concourse and down the escalator you will find a plethora of shops that exude a unique Nagoya vibe. Out of the more than 80 tenants, there are 30 restaurants, cafes and shops that serve typical Nagoya dishes.
There are also several famous shops that originated in Nagoya, and you will find a wide selection of Nagoya souvenirs. In addition to famous shops, there are also kishimen noodle, chicken wing and Japanese confectionary shops that offer long-established tastes of Nagoya. Even if you’re on your way back on the Shinkansen and don’t have much time, there is a large selection of different shops to choose from packed into a small area. There are also several service and variety shops that cater to various needs.
ESCA Thanks to its convenient location below the Shinkansen, this underground mall has many repeat business and tourist customers who appreciate the accessibility. For roughly 40 years since its establishment in 1971, ESCA has welcomed and served a multitude of customers as the “doorway to Nagoya.” We hope to continue to share with visitors the good things about Nagoya and serve as one more place to look forward to visiting.
